Orveya is a Divine Spirit born to Monulu, and unlike most of the Spirits who came before her, she never wanted a throne, a title, or a battlefield. She wields light the same as Hope does, and she is far from defenseless — but healing came to her first, and she has never seen a reason to lead with anything else. She serves as head priest of the Sanctuary of Hope, one of the highest-ranking figures in a church built entirely around faith, compassion, community, and the belief that anyone can be healed.
The Sanctuary exists because of what Orveya saw as a child. Monulu was attacked by an undead army, and the soldiers reached the gates before anyone could stop them. Orveya and her parents were seconds from being killed when a single Divine Spirit descended in pure light. Once the light faded, Orveya saw her — Hope, who Orveya has always described simply as beautiful.
Hope killed the undead threatening the family in an instant, then knelt down to ask if they were alright. When young Orveya answered yes, Hope gently touched her head and told her, "you are someone who is just like me, a very powerful being." Orveya admitted she could already heal any wound, but doubted she was much of a fighter. Hope told her she would grow into her power in time — enough to protect her family, and eventually the whole nation.
Hope then ordered the city evacuated, lured every remaining undead soldier into a single point, and called down a light from the heavens that erased them entirely. She vanished with only a farewell — "I have saved you all" — leaving Monulu, and Orveya, forever changed. Orveya built the Sanctuary of Hope in the years that followed, in tribute to the Spirit who saved her family. Hope, to this day, has no idea it exists.
